Silicon Cable are made from Tinned coated Copper conductor & coated with Special cable grade silicon rubber & Cured In C.V. Or
Vulcaniser. Silicon Rubber / Neoprene / Polyurethane Rubber.
CHARACTERISTICS:
- Offers excellent resistance to steam & Aging.
- Has very good dia – electric constant (At 180) 1 mm dia. Can withstand 5 k. v. RMS for 1 Minute.
- Offers very good resistance to moisture, & is self extinguishing.
- Silicon Rubber being soft material has to be provided Fiber Glass braiding strength, it is very soft & pliable over small radius.
- Transparent Tubes / sleeving.
ADVANTAGES:
High Temperature Operations.
Flexibility – (Over A Range of Temperatures)
Ozone & Sunlight Resistance
Flame & Radiation Resistance
Moisture Resistance
Corona Resistance
Reliability & Long Service Life

HEAT RESISTANT SILICON ELASTOMER CABLES
Silicon rubber insulation has excellent electrical properties & high thermal resistance. It allows conductor temperature rating of 150C for continuity operation & 250C under emergency over load. It maintains circuit continuity even in fire because silicon rubber burns into an insulating ash. It is resistant to moistures, ozone radiations and chemical. Being elastomeric in nature it is flexible is retained over wide range of temperature (+ 250oC to 55oC ) |
